Most Bibles have a heading in John 11: The death and resurrection of Lazarus. But, in one sense, Lazarus only has a minor role in the narrative that unfolds in that chapter. So what is it that John wants his readers to understand?

We will do a one-evening deep-dive into that chapter to discover that there’s much more to learn beyond Jesus’ calling Lazarus out of the tomb. The class will meet online on Thursday evening, June 11, beginning at 6:30 pm (EST, US).

Yes, there are “evil spirits” in the world. And, yes, they can do things to people. But the Hollywood portrayals are often very misleading.

On Thursday evening, July 16, at 6:30 pm (EST, US), we will do a “case study” from the ministry of Jesus. Turning to Mark 5, we will walk through the account of His dealing with the Gerasene demoniac and, in doing that, build some understanding of a Biblical view of demonic activity.
