When we think of the Christmas story, we readily turn to the Gospels. Both Luke and Matthew tell us things that shape our thinking about what Christmas is all about.

But at times, those familiar accounts can–because of their very familiarity–lose their power to thrill and stir us. So as we prepare our hearts for celebrating, The River is offering a one-evening Christmas intensive. We’re going to turn to the letters of Paul and let him explain his thoughts about Christmas. As we dip into a number of passages from Paul’s epistles, we’ll gain some fresh perspective–and some renewed grounds for celebrating.
