Event Details

All praying should be offered in faith. But what did James mean by the certainty that comes in praying “the prayer of faith?”

Most of us pray. We bring our requests and concerns to the Lord. And, we pray “in faith.” That is, the prayers are anchoring in our trust in the one who answers.

In his epistle, James wrote about “the prayer of faith” (James 5) and how it is effective in ushering in the answer we are hoping for. That epression–“the prayer of faith”–only appears one time in the Bible. So, what did James mean? How do we pray that way? How can we be assured of having answers to what we have asked of the Lord?

We’ll spend a few hours online, on Thursday evening, August 13th, (6:30-8:30 pm) to seek to understand what James meant . . . and how that understanding could shape the way we pray.
